These days it’s commonplace to train online. At MIEBS, we believe that generally, it’s more productive to invest and attend a face-to-face training course rather than accessing self-learning online training. Why? Here are just a few reasons:

Benefits of face-to-face learning

  1. It’s interactive – With your facilitator in the room you can directly ask and immediately receive answers to your specific queries. At MIEBS – your trainer is experienced in the topic, not only in teaching it but also with real world experience and able to pass on any “pitfalls” to be aware of and provide ways to resolve.

2. The trainer can provide best practice methods, not only the “how-to use” of the function being taught, this may include shortcuts to streamline your daily use. Be ready to note great tips and tricks!!

3. Learn from others – Other attendees may ask questions or discuss topics that may benefit you – so you learn from the
experience of others in the room.

4. Possibility to digress – where time permits, the trainer may be able to address out of scope questions in relation to the training topic.

5. Networking – Make new connections with people!

6. Physical distance from your workplace – Being physically away from your work environment allows you to really focus on the learning and also allows ideas and thoughts to “bubble up”. In this completely uninterrupted learning environment, time is set aside purely for the training, no multi-tasking or distractions.

7. Gain concrete skills – If you are not new to the topic, you will walk away with new skills that will benefit you in your
workplace immediately! Our face to-face training is completed on a training platform. This allows attendees to practice and redo learning while having real-life questions addressed by the trainer – this is not available in an online learning environment.

8. A higher level of confidence and competence is generally achieved with face-to-face learning. In addition – if you physically attend the course, the chances are that you will complete the course. Online learning courses generally offer several months to complete what can be achieved in a single day. How many of us do not end up completing an online course that we have also paid for? Unfortunately this happens all too often.

PLUS! Receive a hard copy of your training manual including exercises that you can re-do
