We had stopped at a service station in separate vehicles – me in my car and my beloved in our RV.
We fuelled up. On his way into the station to pay, he says can you grab me a cup of coffee (at the café attached to the service station). I said sure, no problem.
Usually, this would entail grabbing the keep-a-cup and purchasing a coffee at the café.
Not so this time……
I hopped into the RV and grabbed the keep-a-cup and headed to the café with my wallet. Halfway there, I realised I needed my phone for the COVID Check In. Back to my car, grabbed the phone and headed to the café. Almost at the door of the café and realised I needed a mask to enter.
Back to my car and found my mask. By this time, he had finished paying for the fuel and walked to my car. I advised that I still had not made it into the café yet. Off I went, with what I thought I had all I needed – – – I opened the café door, put my mask on, checked in with my phone – – – – I had left the keep-a-cup at my car while I rummaged for my mask. Back to the car and retrieved the keep-a-cup. Back to the café and ordered my beloved his coffee.
What an exercise!
No complaints – just a funny story about the times we are living in at the moment. All the things we have to think of when we go anywhere – and there will be more when we have to show our vaccination status….
